Big Hearts and Backpacks
What’s better than raffle prizes, beer and dancing to the amazing Prince cover band Purple Mane? All of that fun designed to benefit children and families in need.
In its seventh year, Soldiers of Destiny’s Big Hearts and Backpacks event hosted by Secret Shows and Pono Ranch has once again raised awareness of Hand in Hand’s work.
Over one hundred people came out to support Hand in Hand on August 15th. One hundred and twenty seven backpacks were donated, as well as much needed school supplies and additional funds.
In the seven years that Soldiers of Destiny has been holding this event, they have raised more than $20,000 and collected more than 1,000 backpacks for Hand in Hand.
Our heartfelt thanks to the incredible folks at Soldiers of Destiny who have been true and generous partners for many years. Their ongoing partnership gives hope and opportunity to the children and families we serve.
